Freezing problem

I am experiencing problems with the Humax occasionally freezing when I am accessing the Media screen at the same time as the Humax is recording. When this happens:

• recording stops (and when I later access the recording, the message "Recording failed: loss of power. Do you want to play this file?" is displayed)
• the Media screen continues to be displayed
• the Humax fails to respond to its buttons and to remote control

The only way to re-start the Humax is to switch it off at the plug.

Having read various posts, I am wondering if there is a problem either with the HDD or with the PSU, and am considering replacing the hard drive. But before I do that, I'd welcome any other observations or suggestions.

Sound like a failing psu to me.
