FTP suddenly stopped working properly

Hi guys hope you can help - been using raydon's brilliant avi2hdr program to transfer video, and until today has worked brilliantly - now only 7mb (of 1gb) gets transferred before it falls over - what's happening? Also tried using Filezilla, same result!
