I might as well do a retune now as having KMTV as my seventh most relevant channel is already a reality. F*** you Humax and F*** your :poop::poop::poop: Aura it has and always will be a pain in the 🫏. This event along with the frequent recordings that stutter on playback, replaying the same couple of seconds again and again then stopping playback and the only option is to play until just before the issue and skip past and the increasing amount of failed recordings due to loss of signal even when you were watching that exact same channel at the exact same time without so much as a single pixilation and occurs on both an outdoor and a loft aerial along with the constant broken promises of updates and failure to fix issues that have affected users for years guarantees that I will never buy your fabled Freely recorder or any of your other future products even if they give extra recording ability, I would rather spent more money on buying 2 of another companies products to get the satisfaction of knowing that I had not given Humax a single penny more of my money. 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤

Rant over, time now for a relaxing bath, maybe a splash of of Radox to calm the nerves before a retune and several wasted minutes reordering my channel lists 🛀

Pain in the horse? So long as it's not a pain in the ass that's OK then.
It seems you may not know your a** from your elbow, if you had hovered on the emoji it would have said it was a donkey, I am quite surprised that with such a vast array of emoji options that a** , ar** , bum, butt , bottom or even posterior all failed to supple something cheeky.;)

n. pl. ass·es(ăs′ĭz)
1. Any of several hoofed mammals of the genus Equus, resembling and closely related to the horses but having a smaller build and longer ears, and including the domesticated donkey.
2. A foolish or stupid person.

As others have mentioned I have had a lot of failed recordings recently but today I have had a totally new to me Aura event. I had tonight's Repair Shop BBC1 and Our Yorkshire Pub Rescue More 4 set to record and both recorded ok but I just went to the Recordings list and both are showing the red line underneath that indicates I have watched them already and both offer me the option of Resume Watching or Watch from Start. The repair shop showed as the whole show watched and Yorkshire Pub showed as 48 minutes had been viewed all very odd as at the time I was watching recordings of the Apprentice followed by Dragons Den. Is this your doing Humax? are you taking revenge on me for slagging off your Freely Box?

Another day another new Aura oddity. Yesterday evening I wanted to set up a recording for 9pm on Ch4sd but was told too much was already scheduled so I set it up for the +1 at 10pm a bit later I was looking through the TV guide and realised I had already watched one of previous 9pm scheduled recordings so I cancelled it and was then now able to set up that 9pm recording which I did, I then from the TV guide tried to cancel the +1 recording but clicking on cancel recording did nothing so I went to the Schedule list and tried again but clicking cancel recording again did nothing. I had to let the +1 record as was then able to delete it without issue.

I may well have misinterpreted your post - in the schedule list did you click on the proposed recording and then click cancel recording or, from the top level of the schedule, select the item (highlighted in orange) and then pressed red for delete? I don't see that it should make a difference - and I can't repeat the cancel problem. However it was only one test set and cancel.
Whatever, it should let you cancel! Definitely an oddity!

Actually I scrolled down the schedule list to highlight the program then pressed red then while it was highlighted I pressed the info button which brings up the cancel recording option plus I selected the show in the TV guide and then pressed Cancel recording all of which did nothing at all not even a symbol saying I cannot or a change of screen.

Edit..... Just to add further food for thought the 9pm recording recorded the show twice though I have had that happen before a few times. I think it happens when you try to set up a recording and are told you cannot due to being already fully booked for that time and if you then cancel something to make it possible it seems to remember the first request even though it does not show in the schedule list or on the TV guide allowing you to schedule the recording.

Which, if I understand it, means you tried three ways to cancel. Strange! I can't remember having that particular problem, but it's possible. I have a feeling I've had buttons being greyed out for no good reason - but I'm not sure which menu I was in or what I was doing and why. (Very helpful!).

There was nothing at all suggesting it should not have worked as normal, no greyed out no symbol just no response to the press. Yes 3 ways. PS I added a bit more to my last post.

While watching a live channel pressing the 'Stop' button works for at least instant recordings. Did you try that?

I was watching something else so no though I did bring up the TV guide and highlight it and press stop which should have given me the option to stop it but again did nothing.

From what there is in the manual with respect to stopping an instant recording, for once, it sounds identical to HDR-FOX T2 and its related models, and for that the stop dosn't work from within the menus either.
For the HDR-FOX T2 you don't have to be on the actual channel you what to stop the recording. Hopefully it's the same with the Aura.

It was a scheduled recording where the schedule could not be cancelled. I cannot remember if it is the same on a T2 but usually on an Aura I can highlight a show scheduled or not that is recording in the TV guide whilst watching a different channel and pressing stop will stop that recording unless it is part of a scheduled series record where it will ask if I want to just stop the recording or cancel the recording of the whole series however last night it refused to stop. Yes as you say it is the same on an Aura though I suspect it would have been the same result for the way you described.
