Perhaps Michael or one of the moderators can set up a general discussion section.

Think you will have to wait for Michael to do that, but it sounds like a good idea.

Maybe it could be called "The Hummy Arms" as in a pub?
 
Yes, I have seen forums where they have a "Virtual Pub" which can be used for general off topic discussions.
