I have downgraded my box from 1.02.29 to 1.02.20 to use custom firmware v3.00. All is working fine but i get application error when i try to launch the tv portal. My hdr dox on the same network has full access to the portal and i have webif access to the hd fox so i think it is probably not network related. Can anyone suggest the next course of action.
I have reinstall the standard and custom firm with system flush to no avail.

Have you read this

When moving between versions of the Firmware, you must make sure that you have the appropriate and only the appropriate portal apps in CF.

Also you don't say whether you are talking about a HD or HDR box.

If you are talking HD then I suggest you search elsewhere in this forum as I believe the BBC have made changes recently that stopped the BBC iPlayer from working. I'm not sure if this affects other aspects.

See here (particularly post 9): http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/tv-portal-cant-connect.5402/

Basically: only 1.03.xx currently works with the Humax TV Portal, there is a work-around to bypass the Humax server and access the apps directly by using a custom portal package in 1.02.xx, but this will only work with BBC iPlayer for a limited time until they drop support for the 1.02.xx browser some time in September.

As far as vanilla HDR-FOX users are concerned, they are being forced to choose between either functioning Audio Description or functioning iPlayer (and even CF users won't have access to both at the same time by the end of September). HD-FOX users are being left completely out in the cold, there being currently no HD-FOX version of 1.03.xx firmware. The only work-around is to use custom firmware to force the HD-FOX to run HDR-FOX 1.03.xx code.

Thanks gentlemen at least I now know my HD fox isn't faulty, I think I will probably just wait for Humax to release a flashable 1.30.xx firm for the HD Fox and go from there.

You'd probably be better off waiting for the next delivery of small, lemon-soaked paper napkins.
