Since updating to Android 14, I've had this really annoying problem where the box steals focus from other devices and turns itself off whenever I change the source. This happens both with my HDMI switch and (confusingly) when plugged directly into the TVs HDMI ports
I hate HDMI-CEC and always have it turned off on both the box (hidden away in the Freeview Play settings) and the TV itself, so I really can't fathom wtf is even happening here. Maybe some kind of ghost toggle? I've double checked all the settings, I've power-cycled, I've cleared all the caches and force-stopped the "AuraCecManager" process. Nothing's helped
I had high hopes for the update, and it does seem to have fixed that horrible YouTube freezing bug on certain videos (as far as I can tell, fingers crossed) but this new bug is even worse. I should've known better than to expect a bug-free update from Humax
Has anybody else experienced this? I'm gonna have to do another full reset of the box and hope for the best. And if that doesn't fix it, then it truly is time to give up on this godforsaken box
