HDMI inter-connection.

Does the HDMI connections used on Humax HD recorders support "ethernet channel"?
The reasonI ask is that I have a Samsung Smart TV with a network connection (ethenet channel not supported) to my router, and if I replace my 9300T with a HDR-FOXT2 and wish to use the TV portal And if it has the Ethernet Channel enabled this should allow access to the smart tv portal, and
I don't want to run another 10mtrs. of cat5 back to the router,

OR, would a small network hub like TP-Link TL-SF1005D 5 port work?

The TP-Link TL-SF1005D 5 port will work, (I am using one), it is very unlikely that the Humax will support HDMI ethernet channel as it is only implemented in HDMI 1.4 and the Humax is HDMI 1.3

Thanks for the quick reply, guessed that would be the the case, it's a pity that manufactures are slow to impliment improvements.
