help connecting laptop to 2000t

Model HDR-2000t. Im new to all this so I apologize if this seems like a silly question. Im trying to watch files on my humax that I have on my laptop. My humax box is connected to the internet and im looking to make the most of this unit I have. As I said this is all new so any help would be appreciated. I have other questions regarding my humax 2000t but will save that for another time. Overall very happy with my purchase
