Help with Customised Firmware

I have 2 FoxT2 HDRs. As my main Box 2TB disk was showing too many errors, I decided to upgrade the 500GB box to 2TB, and transfer as many recordings as possible before the disk failed.
My second box had been running CF, and after installing the new disk the box started with CF. I was able to download and configure some packages, and ensured that I could copy a couple of movies onto it from a USB stick.

When I turned the box on today, a System Information screen displayed, showing software version 1.03.12, the System ID as 80Bc7E00, and the Loader Version as a7.33
It initially displayed “OTA Start, Download Progress”, then came up with ERROR :E-OS.

I can’t get out of this, and Telnet won’t connect. Any advice would be most welcome!

This doesn't sound like a CF-specific issue. Just for clarity, which 'box' has the problem? I presume you have tried rebooting??

I do not recall these symptoms being reported previously. The only thing I can think of is that the HDR thinks it is 4.30am and has gone looking for an OTA update (these no longer exist).

Telnet won’t connect.
The E-OS error would likely mean the OS isn't running and therefore no background services (like Telnet), nor even an Ethernet connection., but I take it you are sure the CF is installed on this unit?

In the absence of any other ideas, I think I would try reinstalling firmware from USB.

Reinstalling the CF solved the problem. All working now thanks very much.
