How do I do a factory reset?

Hi all,

Sorry for this entry level question but I really thought this one would be easy to find - I was wrong!

My many years old HDR Fox T2 keeps restarting itself. I want to do a factory reset (I think).

I've got as far as the hidden setting menu after pressing the coloured buttons in sequence - but then what? I have no obvious factory reset option and the other options don't appear to lead to it either.

Am I missing something here?

Menu >> Settings >> Installation >> 0000 >> Factory Default, don't select Format HHD or you will lose all your recordings

If this doesn't fix your problem there are other things you can try
