How do I view the forum as guest?

Unfortunately, we are now back to getting non approved new member registrations coming in, when previously they were flagged in the approval queue for manual checking, and approval.

I just created a test account and when I approve the email address I see this:

and an entry in the approval queue. Is there another path that's allowing this?

I can see an entry in the approval queue for your test account, but there have been a few new accounts since yesterday, that have not appeared in the approval queue, and the latest one today was using a Russian Federation IP Address, which flagged up more than 1000 entries on Stop Forum Spam website.

Also, I am now once again seeing banned members appearing in the members online list, these have their username struck through, but ordinary members don't see the strike through.
 
The accounts may be created, but not approved... so could they log in but not post anything (until approved)? So, you see non-approved users in members online, but they're restricted... it must be that non-approved users are set to not be able to Post threads / Post replies? They also shouldn't be able view the online member list?
I can't remember from when I signed up... is email verification enabled? It should be the first hoop for a new user to jump through. EDIT: If email verification is enabled, and not completed by the user, then maybe they don't hit the approval queue yet?

I was just looking at my Android 13 phone and noticed that.........................................
Settings - Privacy - Notifications on lock screen - (gives 3 options) 1 Show all notification content. 2 Show sensitive content only when unlocked. 3 Don't show notifications at all.

Yes, I wonder if this is what's going on. A new user that hasn't verified their email address yet may no longer show up for admin review. I'll read the documentation and see what the options are.
