How to stop a recording in progress

hi I tried to stop a timer recording but nothing seems to work, could anyone tell me how it works ?

Try pressing the stop button on the handset (square symbol). A dialogue pops up on screen asking which recording you wish to cancel (if there is more than one), and to confirm the action (OK).

Sorry 5hrough the epg scheduled recording, I have 2 currently recording but no matter what I do I can’t stop it

Thanks that worked, I was trying ever button combination 5hrough the guide, schedule route

That will work while a recording is still only scheduled, not when it has moved on to being actioned.
