Thanks Black Hole i've updated the Custom Firmware now, but the rest is beyond my capability - i'm not really a technical person, and i'm definitely not confident in opening up the Humax - I appreciate your help though xx
I bought the 4TB version as my Father had several 500GB drives full of stuff, so I wanted to condense them all really. The main problem is the 4TB drive is Windows based which is a complete pain!
I did some research about using GParted but it involves too much pre-work ie. buying a separate stick to load the software; booting up a PC from the Stick (i only have an iPad); manually formatting the 4TB with the correct partition table ......all of which i'm afraid is just too complicated for me
I'll carry on reading all the literature he printed out and maybe find a route to do this - i'll be in touch with more questions i'm sure lol
