Humax (BT / YouView) DTR T2100 iPlayer access

I have a BT branded Humax DTR T2100 (variant 84B08500) YouView box which is listed as a certified device on the iPlayer website and it now states on tv screen when trying to open iPlayer that it no longer works on this device. I expected as the model is listed on their site for it to still work, there are notes against other Humax models eg 4000T that support ending October 2026 but there are no such notes against the T2100. I have tried a box software update and it states latest one is installed ; Component software 3.5.132 (bcf5e4) , Manufacturer Software 31.69.0

Is this a lost cause re iPlayer on this model / box?? I did an initial contact to iPlayer and they then got back to me requesting the software details etc which I have done so and now awaiting their response.

I think so, yes. iPlayer are systematically dropping support for older units, mainly (I think) by adopting new web standards that are difficult (or impossible) to accommodate on older hardware even with a firmware update (if the manufacturer was willing to issue one). However, I suspect they are now monitoring what the client unit is and applying moratoria based on that rather than technical capability. Boo!

I'm not sure you can expect the website to be kept up to date, there's probably a situation of information not being supplied to the webmaters.

It could help with understanding what this relates to , and whether it relates to other withdrawals of support if you could post the details. Or does it just state "no longer works on this device"?
