Humax FHR-6000T Will this need its own listing in the forum? ( Now named the Aura EZ 4K Freely Recorder)

Have decided that the Freely box is not quite capable of what I need in its current configuration so it's been returned. The support team at Humax were very good, responding to my comments in a timely manner, let's hope they can get some work done by the development team to make the leap in quality needed to make their box street ready. Have now replaced the Humax with a Manhattan T4-R, not a direct replacement but Manhattan have chosen the route of 2 separate boxes (PVR & Freely) thus avoiding the identity crisis of the Humax box. Initial indications are good, the Manhattan is a fully-featured PVR, with a 14 day EPG (just the one EPG) and some FTA streaming channels (with Ethernet connection). Combined with the standard set of apps the box can get pretty close to the claimed functionality of the Humax box without the inconvenience of the Freely app (which seems to be a limiting factor on the Humax).

Did you beat the price hikes?

You did not mention Tivo in your post which in my opinion is a major bonus that makes the Manhattan combo a vastly better option than the Hucrap EZ.

My 2TB was £228 from Amazon, so it looks like it although I wasn't aware of the price hike. AI is becoming a plague on humanity (and the planet).
Forgot about Tivo so must be good (as I didn't notice anything untoward).
