Just a note to say I've successfully installed a 1TB Samsung Evo 860 SSD into an HDR T2. It works perfectly.
Reason for doing this is I bought the Hummy from ebay, but it came with a Seagate Barracuda drive (!!) which was far too noisy for my liking, plus I've been toying with the idea of an SSD in a Hummy for ages.
Installing it required the SSD to be stuck to the top of the original plastic HDD caddy, with an adhesive velcro strip, as a 2.5 to 3.5" adapter that I had bought didn't work - the SSD drive would have been located in the wrong place for the SATA cable to plug into it through the hole in the Humax caddy.
And with the 1,200 TB written warranty, I'm not worried about the drive wearing out any time soon.
