Humax portal problem

For the last few days we've had difficulty getting to iPlayer: the portal sticks with the whirly triangle and the 'loading' message.

Is this a known problem? Is it just us? Any solutions?

Nothing unusual. How long do you give it before you "Exit"? Sometimes it gets there in the end, sometimes it will eventually crash and reboot, and sometimes it might come up with a message saying the Internet is unreachable.

Either way, assuming you have checked the WebIF >> Package Management >> Check for updates button works (which confirms the 'Fox is registered on your home network and has the proper gateway address), there's nowt we can do about it.

This is a known problem, currently affecting a number of different Humax products.
 
The Portal has long been the weakest part of the product.
These days there are so many better alternatives that I just ignore the Portal completely
