Humax portal problem

Hoping to find advice with my latest "problem". Frequently, but not every time, when I go to the BBC i-player via the portal, it stalls and the Hummy goes right back to a restart. Usually it works on the second attempt and occasionally it takes 3 tries. Once started it runs without fault, no stoppages or restarts etc. Is this unusual and does it suggest my faithful Hummy is about to fail? Thanks for any suggestions.

No, it's not at all unusual. I believe it is due to the Humax networking code being unable to handle imperfect communications without crashing.

Thanks, BH, my Hummy does just about everything I want - nice to know that it's not (yet) in a hospice.
