Not sure if anyone has already suggested this but a couple of things I think may be worthwhile considering as additional feature which may or may not be possible with the customised firmware

1. Having the ability to fast-forward (x2) with sound
2. Being able to step forward/backward a frame at a time during pause

Any comments guys?
 
Fast Forward (x2) with sound is available via optical out on the Digitalstream HD PVR's, which are said to be fairly similar internally.
 
Both of these features may well be possible for Humax to implement, but I don't think they would be functions that the Custom Firmware could add

The customised software adds additional feature to the HDR/HD, it can't change existing features that are controlled by the Humax software. What you are requesting is controlled by the Humax software.
