Image and sound blink off/on seconds after channel change.

Wonder why machine does this? Very irritating.... On what is otherwise a fine piece of kit. Set up with two satellite leads, no recording set, just straight viewing and on change of channel the screen is OK for app 5 secs, then "blinks" once....

I only get the blinking screen. And only on HD channels.

Edit: To clarify, when changing to an HD channel, the screen blinks off about 5 seconds in but the sound continues.
