Increasing fails with recording / playback

Hi,

Experiencing failures where recordings fail, "error decrypting", antenna short, files invisible / won't play etc.

These happen randomly or may be encouraged by recording something (more likely if in HD). Simply watching something and recording something usually trips it up daily.

I have tried a full format and rescan. I checked and the latest firmware (over the air one) is installed.

What should I do first? Full factory reset? Load up the custom firmware etc?

Full format is not what you wanted to do first. A factory reset can cure many ills (without the format). Otherwise you need to test the HDD properly.
