Is there any logic/criteria for the naming of the scripts in this folder? Do they run in number order?
Could you create something with a name in the S100s.

They run in numerical order and must start with a capital S to be run automatically.
You could create something > 99 and it would work but it isn't common practice.

Read /mod/etc/init.d/rcS if you want to see the script that runs all of the other init scripts (it's fairly short).
