Interrupted recordings linked to hard disk problem

I found this under the maintenance mode instructions:

If the web interface hard disk diagnostic highlights attributes 197 or 198 in red, then the additional fix-disk test/repair should run

As my report has 197/198 in red do I run fix-disk test/repair?

thanks

Philip

From my previous message:
After the test has completed try creating a new report using the command from the previous message. This time you should see the LBA number of the problem sector near the end of the report. If so, then re-run fix-disk - this should then fix the problem.

After test, LBA not found during fix-disk, do I need to add a switch to the command?
Philip

Now I'm baffled. There is a bug in fix-disk, how can it suddenly be fixed? Do you still see the red lines in the smartctl output?

If it is still broken try unzipping and then installing the attached file in normal mode using 'opkg install fix-disk_0.1-1_mipsel.opk'. Once installed run from 'maintenance mode' as before.

Note: This is a 'special', I will come up with a permanent fix later...

Edit: Attachment deleted since it was a special for this particular case.

Still seeing the red lines in output.
Humax HD test now reporting no errors, still seeing errors in webif diagnostics.
Will try new fix disk file.

I am not sure where the install command is looking for the updated fix-disk, do I copy the file to the humax, which directory, or can I point the command at a local copy of the updated fix-disk?

Error message is:

humax# opkg install fix-disk_0.1-1_mipsel.opk

Looks like no errors!
