Hi All, I havent got around to installing the custom version yet (a job for this week). In the meantime I wondered if the custom code was available to download or read to my remote pc from anywhere? I was interested in taking a look from an educational point of view. (working on teaching myself linux).

If I can get my head round the code is there any channel to submit code-changes for review or suggestions?

I think because relatively few of us are comfortable with/have the time for coding, the BYTs discuss this sort of thing in the behind-the-scenes channels called "conversations" - which unlike the usual Forum private messages can be between multiple invited participants. If you are keen I'm sure they will be only too delighted to invite you into the circle.

There isn't really a simple answer to this question as all of the various custom packages are written in a variety of different languages. You can download any of them from http://hummypkg.org.uk/ and open them up in 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html) and have a look. The Web Interface is largely written in an interpreted language (called Jim which is based on TCL) so most of the code in the webif package is readable.

A lot of the other packages contain compiled C code but even then they will have readable framework scripts in them.

Other interesting readable ones are the flatten, seriesfiler and rs packages.
