It's it possible to connect my tablet to the 4000 and watch what's on the drive?

Have you enabled content sharing through the FVP-4000T menus? I presume the tablet app you are showing us (Android?) is looking for DLNA services (which content sharing will enable), but it might be looking for Chromecast or something like that. The "enter code manually" confuses me if it is DLNA.

If your app isn't looking for DLNA services on your network, you need one that does - eg the VLC app.

I've installed VLC and can now play all the live tv channels but the existing drive content is still not available?? Any ideas?

I don't. Shall we start a poll?
Posted from my Sony laptop using a pretty much full size keyboard rather than my SGS5 and its on screen keyboard that is even more difficult to use than the Sony's. Another advantage is that it hasn't got autocorrect that can really screw things up.:D
I bet 'we' are not interested in that either.:BlackHole:

Looks like when BH used the term 'we', he was referring to himself and was not commenting on behalf of anyone else

I think he may have been referring to the "we, at the top of the tree", as opposed to "the likes of you" which presumably applies to everyone else.

Sent from the bottom of the tree by one of the usual suspects.

I had a cartoon in mind, a tree with certain members in the upper branches, others with axes trying to chop the tree down and another cocking his leg over the woodsmen. :p

Not true. I'm with BH. Why should we be interested in the OP's device or chosen browser? It's just a free advert for Tapatalk anyway and was the first thing I removed during my brief dalliance with the aforementioned app on my SG5, knowing that only a tiny minority of people would be in the slightest bit interested in what I was sending my posts from

Sent from my Sony 17" laptop with Windows 10 Home and using the Google Chrome browser and a full size lappy keyboard rather than from my SGS5, its on screen keyboard and sometimes really annoying auto-correct. (If anyone is the slightest bit interested, but I suspect not. So in that respect, we are not interested. The 'we' in this instance includes me and no doubt BH):roflmao:

Does that mean we shouldn't be interested in ...
FoxSat HDR (1Tb), Humax 9200, HDR FoxT2 (2 Tb), HP Tower PC with W10Pro 64 bit, Acer tower with Win10 home 64bit, Sony W10 home 64 bit lappy, Surface Pro3 with Win10Pro, 2 EETV boxes, Samsung UExxJU7000 TV and a bunch of other assorted stuff.

The Humax devices are relevant, but what about the computers and "other assorted stuff"? :D

My comment was about the sheep-like behaviour of people who don't turn off (or at least tune) auto-signatures placed there as marketing - one might have liked to show off that one owned an iPhone at one time, but now...

It's covered in Newbies' Guide to the Forum (click), and didn't cause any debate there, so I conclude that nobody really takes issue with it except the usual suspects that like trying to wind me up.

I've even stopped iOS adding a personalised auto-signature to my emails now: I thought I had it under control, as I could see the signature at the end of the email I was preparing and edit it if it was not appropriate in any specific instance, but then I found there are circumstances where it gets added again without my noticing! My strategy now is to add text short-cuts which expand specified character sequences to a longer string (eg a signature, or my email address).

The forum signature panel is another matter - it is off by default, and is under the user's control to convey context information. Further, users have personal control over whether their view of the forum shows signature panels or not, which is not the case when a specialised forum interface app adds real text to a forum post. (I'll add a clause to this effect to the Newbies Guide.)

Shame on you. As I was once complimented in these forums of being a troglodyte by an aboreal member I feel the need to mention that our ancestors evolved to climb out of the trees and start living in caves. We should pity the lesser species not mock them.

You've missed the point, you may have the same point of view as BH on this matter, if it comes to that I may have the same view, but BH wasn't representing you when he used the term 'we' unless you instructed him to speak about it on your behalf. Using 'we' in this way is an attempt to give a group opinion rather than an individual opinion

Could the "We" not have been BH referring to himself and someone who was with him at the time he was typing?
