Locked recording issue

To be honest, I was only thinking about valid PINs, not the less obvious ones. My first test was to make sure it worked finding my PIN (0000), then a very small selection of PINs (1234,5192*,9999). Given the speed of the process why remove the obvious ones? My only concern would be how the Aura reacts to up to 10000 FTP login events. So far, no problem. It was only meant as an example of how to find the PIN without a factory reset.

Can't be sure what the real reason for PINs are on a Humax. Can be useful in preventing accidental changes to some parts of the system. PIN protecting recordings seems pointless unless it is to prevent accidental deletion. There are quite a few ways to watch a protected StdDef programme. (Download to pc or use the crude web interface to play the item on your TV)

The range() function returns a sequence of numbers, starting from 0 by default, and increments by 1 (by default), and stops before a specified number.
