Loss of HTTP connectivity

Twice tonight one of my T2s lost HTTP connectivity, while other connection methods continued to work: telnet, and direct connection with my Win7 file manager. Each time, I could only restore it with a hard power-off. A soft reboot by going into standby and waiting the prescribed 30 seconds before restarting didn't help; neither did restarting my browser. Apart from this issue, the box continued to operate normally.

I haven't experienced this with either of my boxes before and wonder whether it's an omen of worse to come or "just one of those Humax idiosyncrasies" that are sent to try us.

Any ideas?

And what version of web server? And indeed which web server? Lighttpd or Mongoose?
What does service report from a command prompt, and does service lighttpd start make it happier again if it shows as not running?

I'll try to restart the lighttpd service if the problem happens again.

Network is basic Win7 Home via a Thomson 585 router connected by ethernet: two PCs and two T2s. The PCs "see" and can connect to the T2s by file manager, ftp, telnet and (usually) http.
The T2s also see each other and can connect via Foxlink. However, the T2s can't connect to the PCs via Media/blue button/Network: any attempt just hangs for several minutes. I haven't bothered to troubleshoot this as I don't have a need for it, though suggestions would be welcome if only to avoid the delay when I accidentally trigger it.

Have you actually got any DLNA servers on the network? DLNA is rubbish anyway, so I'd suggest you avoid it.

The rest of your output all looks good.

No DLNA servers anywhere., and just in case I long ago installed the dlna-filter package I also have uPNP disabled in router and Win7. And just to add braces to the belt, I rename the Windows Media Player directory in case it has any tricks up its sleeve.

I suppose there's no way to prevent the long delay when inadvertently switching from HDD to Network? My remote occasionally does a double-click, bypassing the USB option in the middle.
