lost channels

Hello,

My Humax Foxsat HDR has lost many channels. The dish and cables are fine as I have tested them with a sky digi box and all the channels are present.

I read that the problem could be related to the power supply so I changed all the capacitors but after all that it still has about half the channels missing, I tried re-tuning but to no avial. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

Thanks

This seems rather scatter-gun.
Many channels? Which ones? High, low, H, V? Establishing if there's a pattern might be a good first start.
Changing capacitors that don't need changing seems pointless. Did you even measure the power supply first?

Its working now so must have been the caps.
Also cleaned the circuit boards.

Since you've already ruled out the dish and cables, and replaced the capacitors, it might be worth checking the LNB (Low-Noise Block) or the tuner itself. Sometimes, even a partial failure there can cause channel issues. Also, make sure the firmware is up to date and consider a full reset of the box. Hope you get it sorted!

There were two dodgy posts earlier, exactly the same wording in a different thread. I reported that one and it's gone, but apparently the cut didn't go deep enough.
