Lost Recordings

My PVR showed three identical reservations. When I tried to delete the surplus two, the screen froze. No buttons would operate so no option but to switch off at the mains. When I restarted I had apparently lost all old recordings (about 57). When I checked the disk it still showed more than 50% used. Can any one offer any help please?​
 
I am afraid your file system is corrupted. The only fix is to reformat the drive from the Humax menu.

There are methods of recovering your programmes if you really want to, but they involve opening up the box to access the drive. Come back if you want more info.

I was afraid I would hear that! No, I don't wish to go that far. I shall just reformat. Thanks for such a prompt reply.
