MCebuddy 2 strips ads and converts ts to other formats - anyone tried ?

Came across this and wondrered if anyone had tried this with hummy recordings? it offers to ways to detect the adverts so wondered which was best.

Some of the comments are not very favourable e.g. "Forget doing commercial detection on UK TV shows as ComSkip struggles and can often get it completely wrong."

I've used ComSkip with Mediaportal to mark the comercials for editing with VideoReDo TVSuite and it worked pretty well

Is that better than using the Ad Detective feature that is built into VideoReDo?

I was running "For the Record" and ComSkip was a post recording process. So you ended up with a VideoReDo project file with all the edits already marked. And yes I found it better than Ad Detective

I find I can take the ads out of an episode of Lewis - which is loaded with them - and resave the file in about 3 minutes. Last time I tried ad detective it took forever and got half the breaks in the wrong places.
