Missing first 5 minutes of recordings

Can anyone help please?

My Humax FVP4000T keeps missing the first 5 minutes of a recording.

I’ve tried switching it off at the wall and a channel search but nothing works.

Help please it’s unbelievably annoying. 🤬

My first thoughts are:

1) If you're using Accurate Recording, that relies on the broadcasters "announcing" the current programme (in the data stream) at the right time. It would help if you told us what you are trying to record.

2) Whether you're using Accurate Recording or not, some broadcasters have a habit of starting programmes early, so a recording which starts at the right time still misses a bit. It would help if you told us what you are trying to record.

3) If other stuff is being recorded immediately prior to the one which misses the beginning, it could be that all your tuners are taken up and the next recording can't start immediately. It would help if you told us what else is going on at the same time.

I've found that minor channels (no AR?) are more likely to start late so that the ends of programmes go missing.
I used to find using AR I missed a few seconds from the start of many BBC/ITV/C4/5 programmes. Hence I always use padding.

Things have moved on since your PVR-9150T.
As an example take the HDR-2000T that you purchased 11 years ago in October 2014.

The PVR-9150T took up to a minute to react to the signal for the start of the programme. Also the BBC switched to indicate the start about 20 seconds earlier than they used to.
