Missing Plug-in

Sorry if this has been asked before, as I'm sure I cant be the only one to have this. When trying to watch a video from the gui I get a missing plug-in error, it seems to be something to do with VLC but I have no idea how to fix it. I'm on a mac.

Does anyone know how to fix this ?

I don't have a Mac but I suspect you don't have VLC Media Player installed. It appears that a Mac version is available and you can download it from here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

TBH, I have never been able to play a recording SD or HD even after it has been decrypted. I cannot get to the bottom of it but its no big deal for me so haven't wasted any time finding a solution.

I just download them to my PC and play using SplashPlayer!

Hope it works for you.

Hi, yes I do something similar in that my NAS copies the media from my Humax so I can watch it on boxee etc. I thought I would see if I could get it to work with the browser, but I have no luck. I do have VLC installed and the safari plug in, but its still no go for me. I might fire up windows and see if I can get it to work with that.

Cheers

IIRC, you need to run Safari in 32-bit mode for the plugin to work on the Mac.
