Missing Plugin - Playing Recordings via Web Page

I've been trying to play back recordings via the web interface and I'm getting a "missing plugin" error.
I'm using Safari on my Mac running Mountain Lion.

I assume the plugin needed is VLC? I've installed it from here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

But still having no joy. I did read somewhere that the plug-in is 32-bit only and Safari on the Mac is 64-bit?
