NAS adapter for existing hard disk

Discussion in 'HDR-FOX T2 Freeview Recorder' started by superherojones, Apr 1, 2011.

  1. Does anyone have any experience of a device like this one

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/NAS-adapter...JKC8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301660797&sr=8-1

I have a nice new external hard disk that i would like to use as a NAS hard disk. This product seems to do exactly what i'm hoping for.

I persume if the HDR is allowed to become a Network Server with future firmware upgrade i wouldn't need to buy a NAS adapter or NAS hard disk as i could plug my existing non-NAS Hard Drive into the back of my HDR?
