Newb Question - Packages is there a guide / list

I've been looking through the wiki (http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Main_Page) and on the forums but wondered is there a list and guide to all the packages (pkg's) available as I can see many that sound interesting from the webif but I'm not really sure what they do.

The definitive list of all packages along with brief descriptions is at http://hummypkg.org.uk/packages.html - this page is generated dynamically from the repository itself.

For most packages there is a thread on here somewhere with [package name] at the start of the thread title - anything else just ask.
