News about myhumax.org forum

It looks like it will not be missed much, a day later and only 3 people there have commented on the announcement and 2 of them are a mod and a regular of this site.
I never asked to be a mod for this site, I just got appointed. I am also a regular user of MyHumax. I will refer people from one site to the other if I think the other site has better expertise to answer a particular question.

On what issues is myhumax more expert than hummy?

I did not suggest anything that contradicts that and I have also sent traffic in both directions in the past. If the same announcement was made here I have no doubt the replies would have filled a page or more within a day not still be just 3 posts even after 2 days suggesting "It looks like it will not be missed much" It looks like they are even struggling to find 10 beta testers.

There seems to be more of an Aura following there than here with more chance of getting an answer there but any advice is pretty basic and often generic parroting that fails to achieve a solution.

Even if not originally, we're mainly focussed on HDR-FOX and HD-FOX because of the CF. That is what stimulates the conversation. Even FOXSAT isn't really a major subject, because its CF got supported elsewhere.

Other Humax units are also-rans, with little interest and little discussion due to their lack of CF and lack of hacks. That includes the Aura.

I agree but that does not deflect the fact that their decline announcement post has almost filled 2 pages here whilst there even after 3 days it is still only 3 posts + the OP

Perhaps before RO mode, somebody should post that users willing to engage in proper unbiased discussion and debate are welcome over here.
:rolling: I can imagine somebody either locking or editing such a post.

Admin Edit: No suggestions of other sites at this time.
I don't know what you originally posted, but it looks like I can predict the future. :)

I suggested people could come to hummy.tv. What an arse Barry is, shutting down his own site but refusing to allow links to potential replacements.
Not to mention being a spineless coward who refuses to reply when asked to explain his actions. At least you raised the number of people giving a damn in his demise thread to the heady heights of 5 plus the OP after 11 days.

Many years ago myhumax.org used to be a useful place since Barry had some sort of link into Humax. I had a couple of alpha test builds from Barry to check out the multiple transmitters auto tuning updates on HDR Fox T2 and HD Fox T2, and the changes Humax made in them did substantially improve matters in transmitter overlap areas. My parents can see both Emley Moor and the Holmfirth relay and it was a total pain, before those changes it would randomly pick multiplexes from one or the other as the primary one to tune to.

myhumax.org became a less useful place once the HDR Fox T2 and HD Fox T2 became legacy products that Humax were no longer working on. Even then a year ago I managed to find files on it with codes to have the Humax remote control my parents new Arcam amp.
