no youtube with hdr-2000t

I have just noticed when trying to view youtube,via tv portal, a message that says-notice of termination of the youtube app.
It lists affected makes and models and i have two of the above make/model.
Is there any way around this please?

Users of the Humax HDR-Fox T2 can use a Custom Firmware package called Youtube-dl to download both Youtube and BBC iplayer content - not much use to me is probably your comment - however there is a version of this package that can be run on a Windows computer, see link here :-

The downloaded content can then be transfered to your 2000T for viewing on your TV

Actually for downloading BBC content onto your PC (to then transfer to your Hummy) I'd recommend get_iplayer: https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer

Still current I think.

But I wouldn't be waiting for a 'fix' any time soon - as Ezra points out, they say 'termination' which implies it's the end of the line for it.

The problem, I believe, is that the likes of YouTube now require HTML5.
