Not Half-Awake to Record From Standby - Side-Effect of Boot Settings?

I've noticed one of my HDRs is fully awake when it starts to record, but nonetheless appears to be in standby before that, and must have gone into standby after recording previously. I'll watch more closely tomorrow.

Could this be a consequence of having a channel set in boot settings?

I have set all my devices to change to LCN:100 at start.
They all behave normally (half-awake) on scheduled record.

Yes, but I've just realised it's in delinquent half-awake. Will report back, but my day just went pear-shaped...

The test subject seems to be properly in standby this morning, I'll see what happens when it wakes up to record Countdown (but given that it should already have been recording news bulletins, this might suggest it has got over whatever it was).

Are you using detectads in chaserun mode - that forces fully awake so that it can decrypt.
