I noticed that Humax Digital have a proper web page for the HDR Fox T2 version 1.03.12 firmware again, although it still isn't on the Beta Download site and has previously only been available as a zip download (HERE), it now has this web page :-

maybe this product hasn't been as forgotten as I though

If you read that page it says "If the update does not start then please make sure the filename is correct (hdr2000t_upgrade.hdf)".
They really are hopeless at getting things right.
