It works fine for me on the iPad.. not very helpful for debugging!
Could you try enabling the Safari debug console (under Settings->Safari) in case that logs anything useful? Otherwise I'm not sure what else I can do to investigate it.

I tried it first thing this morning with the same failure.
Since then I have tried a few things.
The first was to switch search engines. No effect, but then I didn't expect it.
Switched off Java script and did a hard reboot. I could see the /media/video files but the Opt+ functions didn't work.
Switched java script back on, tried again and it completed the split.
I now see the number of seconds taken to complete each stage and they add up to 13.85 mins. Didn't notice that with Firefox!
