Pixelation on HD viewing and recording

If you are a long distance from the transmitter your aerial should be on the roof, not in the loft or on top of the TV, not only will it be getting a MUCH weaker signal but it will also be very close to all the sources of interferance in your house. I would say that you would be better off with a selective aerial covering just the band your local MUXs are in rather than a Widband Log periodic that is picking up everything including the RF interferance
