Playing video files on hummy

Hi guys,

I have a few video files that i transfer over to my hummy using FTP.

It works fine with avi xvid files but any other files and the humax is very picky.

Is there any easy way i can transcode the files, such as hd .mkv files, to watch on the humax while still maintaining the quality?

Im running OS X so would prefer any solution i could do on my mac but i can go to windows if needed.

There are some Humax User suggestions HERE, Maybe Handbrake or Avidemux, Probably only for Windows I'm afraid
