PVR-9200T Data Recovery

Hi all,

I’m trying to recover recordings from the hard drive of an old PVR-9200T.

I've already successfully created an image of the 320GB drive using ddrescue, but I’m looking for a way to extract the recordings.

I believe HumaxRW should allow me to do this on Ubuntu, but the only package I've found anywhere online is humaxrw_1.15_mipsel.opk, which I haven't been able to get working despite trying the HDR-Fox T2 uClibc runtime and running it under qemu-mipsel.

I've found forum posts referencing native Linux versions of HumaxRW, so was wondering if anyone still has a copy of the native Linux x86 build or source code? Alternatively, is there any other known working utility that can read a raw disk image from a PVR-9200T and extract the .ts files?

Really appreciate any help!
 
@theroflraptor Did you solve your problem? Sorry for the delay but I have just managed to find my copy of HummyReadFiles v 094, which IIRC was what I used to grab recordings of my (now deceased) PVR-9200T. Most weeks had me removing the HDD from the box and plugging it into my PC, using VideoRedo to turn the .ts files into mp4 files and cut the adverts before burning them onto DVD for the kids.
You would, however, need Windows. I suggest running up a VM in Linux and installing XP, so long as you can get pass-through of the HDD interface or get it to report the image as one.

Hi,sorry to Hijack the thread somewhat. I'm also clearing out a bunch of old Humax pvrs 9150, 9200 and two 9300s, although I'm going to keep one of the 9300's for legacy reasons.

I'm taking out all the HDDs, all but one are SATA - So I'm hoping to read and convert and just save the odd recording off the HDs. The rest of the bare chassis will goto electrical recycling.

But now I'm looking for a Windows version of HumaxRW - please can anyone help?

(NB not Linux or source code etc, my IT skills aren't current enough to know what to do with these.

Are you sure that is worth pursuing? The windows version of HumaxRW is only compatible with 32 bit computers, therefore you would need a 32 bit computer.

What are my other options? (I have windows 10, 64-bit version)

(I am considering trying to rebuild an old laptop to Linux Mint, but it's not done yet, and a lot of the command -line level stuff puts me off.)
