Hey.
Can i record my PS3 gaming on Humax 1800T .. or am i being a dumb ass?
I just realised that a 3rd option would be good.. lol

or is it not possible without updated firmware?

No I don't think any Freeview PVR will record from anything other than a broadcast stream.

Unless, that is, you can find some way of converting the PS3 video output into a modulated DVB-T signal, because the only recording input to the HDR-1800T/HDR-2000T is the aerial input (except for the iPlayer and YouTube streams, which are buffered to disk but unaccessible).
