Recording using only 1 input

I have recently taken one Sat connection and put into another satellite box. The problem I have is that I cannot seem to record any HD programmes from the guide but non-HD programmes will. Is this because HD programmes need 2 feeds connected?

No you don't need two cables for HD, but you do need to connect a loop cable from tuner 1 out to tuner 2 in (see the bottom of Page 16 in the manual) and do a factory reset to get the box into single cable mode.
