Records same programme twice

In both ITV and BBC, I quite often have the same programme recorded twice, even, sometimes, according to the date, on the same day or on consecutive dates with and without subtitles. Any ideas?

In both ITV and BBC, I quite often have the same programme recorded twice, even, sometimes, according to the date, on the same day or on consecutive dates with and without subtitles. Any ideas?

The broadcaster has screwed up the recording crid (content reference identifier) codes.

Either just used a series crid and no programme crid or the same series crid and a different programme crid for the same repeated episode.
