...August used to be called the "Silly Season", and journos had to invent the news (well, more than they usually do), before the back-to-school seriousness preceding the fun'n'games of the party conference season.
It's all go this week, and no fun in sight...

Let's just hope this is the beginning of the end (or at least the end of the beginning) of box-ticking wokery.

It's all go this week, and no fun in sight..
Here in Notts:
-Several assaults/stabbings
-Bus company goes bust
-RMT strike
-Our local wildfires with major incident declared.

Another two weeks and the pre-Christmas season will begin.:dance:

Plenty of Halloween dross already appearing on the shelves, I wonder if we might finally get a ban on selling fireworks to the general public this year as some "experts" are saying the drought might last into the Autumn.

Well, two of them, the second one hasn't made the same news as it didn't tip on its side and injure people, so its less of a news item.
