Renaming of the Media Server as shown in Windows...

As I now have multiple HDR's connected to my home network, I have discovered a minor niggle. When I search my network for the HDR's, they are both listed separately but with the same names.

I.E. "HDR-FOX T2 Media Server".

Is there a way that I can change this? For example, name one Humax [Green] and the other Humax [Orange].

Thanks.

There are some notes on how to change the Media Server Name in the WiKi HERE, but there are quite a few steps and it involves creating a unique version of the Custom Firmware hdf file for each unit

Bugger. I searched the forum, not the Wiki.

It seems quite a 'messy' procedure. I'm not sure if the risk of cocking it up out weighs the desired result!

I think I will pass as I have still not mastered how to format my 1TB Advanced Format HDD yet!

That's the DLNA server. The Samba server can announce itself however you like.
