I found the solution to the problem. Is there a way to delete this thread?

Solution: Run 'rs/sync' from webif Diagnostics page. Type it in where it says 'general'

You have outlined the problem and a solution. Why would you want the thread deleted when it could benefit others who may have the same problem?;)
