Searching for the Perfect DLNA Client (Windows)

What I am looking for:
  • Faultless playback of StDef by DLNA from the Humax;
  • FF/RW minimum, preferably skip, and also drag time marker (like iPlayer);
  • window or full screen;
  • playback of HiDef a bonus.
...in other words, as convenient as iPlayer or I might as well carry on using iPlayer.

Having just installed the tweaks on my HDR, it streams (on day one at least) both StDef and HiDef beautifully to my Raspberry pi running OpenElec(XBMC variant). To be honest I decided on the hummy over cheaper PVRs specifically to stream FTA recordings to XBMC devices. I agree the lack of FF/RW/skip is a pain, & something of a disappointment. Since it already does the hard part, it should (hopefully!) be straightforward for someone with the right knowledge to make an XBMC plugin that interrogates the Humax stream correctly to allow FF/RW/skip to work. The question is would there be enough XBMC users out there like me with HDRs lying around to make it worth bringing to the XBMC forum?
